I sometimes tell my friends that I hate nature just to wind them up. It always works so I can’t resist. What I’m really trying to say is that I love living in a city and I’m not sure I could handle living remote. It’s always been that way for me, even when it wasn’t so - I grew up in a small seaside town on the west coast of Scotland. As a teenager, the nearest city, Glasgow, was the goal, the light at the end of the tunnel. Every weekend, my pals and I would get the 40 minute train into the city to hang out and hit the record shops, spending what little cash we had on CDs. For the love of god, why was I not buying vinyl back then I’ll never know but there we are.

I eventually moved to Glasgow when I was 18 and from there it’s been a bit of a trip spending a year in Brisbane, Australia before a year back home and then another in Toronto, Canada. From there I spent 7 years - most of my 20’s - in Amsterdam before getting to London back in 2018.

Through the experiences of living in these cities and visiting others I fell in love with the process of discovering each places

Dream I have where I’m going to my favourite places - feels relaxing - but really I must be processing the sense of loss. Cookie monster story. Ada Calhoun book and my takeaway from it.
